Fenel has been a part of our Munoz family since early 2004. As a young student, he was always so dedicated and had such a curiosity about education. He loved every part of learning and did well in the school subjects we could offer in our makeshift classes. When he was finally able to attend the local Dominican school in Munoz, his education took on new levels. He wanted so much more. First, he wanted to learn French, then English, then computers. Upon completing high school, he turned his attention to medicine. That took us by surprise, and we were very excited for him!
In 2015, he registered at UTESA, a private university in Santiago, Dominican Republic. With the financial support of several donors, we have met the cost of his university fees and accommodations. He does not shy away from the demanding work and is loving every minute of it. In his own words: “This is my passion.”
